Stainless Steel 348H tubing is composed of chromium (17-19%), nickel (9-13%), and columbium (10xC to 1.10%), with minor amounts of carbon, manganese, and silicon. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, especially in high-temperature environments, and maintains its strength and stability up to 1500°F. Mechanical properties include high tensile strength, excellent creep resistance, and good yield strength. The advantages of 348H tubing include superior resistance to intergranular corrosion, good weldability, and suitability for nuclear applications due to its ability to resist radiation-induced damage.
